New here and so excited to have my chickens!!!

Hi -

I live in northeast Kansas and have wanted chickens for as far back as I can remember. My husband built me an awesome coop and I have 5 Delaware hens, 5 Red Stars, a blue chocin hen and rooster, 2 silver spangled hamburg hens and a silver spangled rooster. They were all hatched in March and we are getting a nice number of eggs each day. Mychickens just put me in a good mood!

Hubby and I also have a small herd of 5 lamancha dairy goats and make and sell goat milk soap and fudge. We also have a very spoiled jack russell terrier mix and an over-sized yellow lab along with two cats.

Looking forward to all the info and things I will learn here!

Hi and welcome!! I plan on getting into soapmaking, but for now, my only goat only produces enough for my family to drink. and my chickens barely give enough eggs for us to eat, but life is good. Enjoy the forum and your chooks!!
