Yes, sorry!! And oh yes, I’ve tried to do some research about sexing Silkies and it seems really hard even there is some signs you can use… The one I’m 99.99% sure is a rooster has a really big comb (actually a single comb) comparing to the other one. Also his head crest is more pointy and I can see some streamers… The other Silkie is very hard to determine but I’m hoping it is a girl ‘cause we always wanted to own a Silkie!

Ok, someone else new to chickens too!😁👏 Yes I bet it’s exciting to get the first eggs!!🥚🥳 What chickens gave you those? I’m hoping to get some from our Bantam Rocks soon, don’t know how the winter affects them. The BO’s take forever to mature…🙄

They are handsome I know!🤩 We were considering keeping them but I still kind of think it’s easier for now to only have hens. I’m also worried if it would turn out to be a mean rooster with the kids…🫣

Leghorns. They have an undeserved bad rep. Mine are super sweet and friendly. They are so much fun and funny. Each have their own distinct personality. I hatched them myself and made sure to handle them every day so they would get used to it and not be so skittish, as they are reputed to be. They don't mind being held at all, and follow me around like little puppies, haha! Sooooo danged cuuuuuuute!!! I'm completely, madly in love with them.
