New here! Baby ducks!

I just bought two peking ducks from TSC to be company to an orphaned gosling we found yesterday. Unfortunately, the gosling just died, but we have the other two now. My question is about the mirror...why? We have pine shavings in the bottom of the rabbit cage now and know we will have to get a bigger brooder really fast from what we read. I have a feather duster as well that we can pop in. Thanks for the help. We have chicks/hens, but these guys are new to us.

I tried the stuffed animal, and they COMPLETELY freaked out. They litterally screamed and ran to the oposite corner. I left it in there for 10 min hoping they would realize it wont hurt them, and when I came back in they were askeep in the same corner. So it came out. I guess I will just deal with the crying babies and hold them when I can.

Im not a big fan of a mirror, only because with other birds I have had (pet store type) they would rather look in the mirror then play with me. I dont want them to imprint themselves to a reflection, I want them to imprint to me.

I just put in a stuffed shell of a duck. Took out the stuffing (actually used to belong to our dog who pulls all stuffing out of everything, so we do it before she does so it doesn't look like it snowed in July!) and they seem to be OK with it, sitting on top of it. We'll see.
