Hi everyone. New member here from Oregon. Have been reading very helpful posts from here for a couple months. I'm a veterinarian, however I have learned a wealth of information from you all on husbandry and general bird characteristics. I recently raised my first ever chickens this spring and have been enjoying fresh eggs for about six weeks now.
I have four barred rocks and four golden sex links hens and some crazy looking rooster someone gave me.
I have also just purchased an incubator and have some bob white quail eggs now setting in there for a week. I'm am very excited to try my hand at quail although I should have done more reading on here first because I think I would have went with the jumbo courtnix if I had done my research, lol. At any rate ,I tried candling for the first time yesterday and saw veins on over 90% of them....wish me luck on my first hatch
