New here!! geese lover!!

hey guys its great to finally to be in a forum dedicated to the love of farm pets, im myself have always had a passion for rasing,poultry and gooslings. just wanted to share with ya my 2 new baby geese one is a white chinese and the other a african. just a question is there a difference in aggression with different breeds of geese or are all of them just about the same? anyways heres a pic of them when i got them ill share more recent pics as i get a chance.

I have two Chinese geese and they are just the cutest babies I have even though their three months old. All geese can be aggressive. My geese get jealous if a chicken walks by me. They will try to chase them away never actually hurting them though. They love their attention.

I have 3 Africans about 5 or 6 weeks old. They are getting their feathers now. Mine are a little aggressive toward chickens if they get crowded while they are eating. Well, except for my production red hens which are fairly mean; they run from them. But they don't hurt the chickens other than pull on their wing or tail feathers for a few seconds. The way the chickens carry on you'd think they were killing them though. But as of yet, no notable unwanted aggression yet. It is my understanding that between Africans and Chinese, the Chinese are generally more antagonistic, though it may not be overwhelmingly so. These Africans are my first geese ever though, so I'm just going by what I've heard about them. I love my little Africans, but I think I would enjoy any of the breeds just as much.

i agree and thanks my first geese were white embeden i suppose i got interested in geese after raising chickens for more than 19 years after i was attacked at a friend's farm by one of them i could not believe how they were not afraid of me, that sucker just grabbed my jeans and would not let go lol then when i got my own and he was about a year old he would at night attack me i suppose beacuase he wouldnt reconize me at night but dang once they grab u and hit u with their wings it aint much fun anymore lol.I guess my main goal would be to have a lil of every breed i suppose im geese crazy......

these are my other juvenile geese not my new lil baby geese, one is african and the other looks like a mix of african mxed with white embeden not sure maybe one of ya could confirm this since i bought it off some guy that hatched these on a incubator and sold it to me after they were like a month old.

these juveniles have a strange story behind them as i learned the hard way geese will not bond with u unless u raise them from newborn chicks i was going to actually sell them since they did not want to come near me nor let me come near them but after i bought my 2 new baby geese when they saw me walking around with them they came towards me and did not show any fear i suppose they were jealous i brought other geese into their territory. i do keep a close eye on them to make sure they dont attack my 2 lil geese but ever since then they have almost lost all their fears of me due to the fact that they see me walking around with the baby geese, has this happened to any1 else?
