Hello, Lidia, and welcome to the BYC community.

I'm Lidia, fefe's owner. Fefe is our new little chick (after a failed attempt in incubating 2 chicken eggs I decided to go buy 2 chicks to heal the pain) The other little chick has been named Chicky by my son who called dibs on her/he.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No, I grew up with chickens, my mum also grew up with chickens so it's a generation thing. I also had a chicken friend who adopted me.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 2 little chicks.

(3) What breeds do you have? Belgian Dulce.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They leave a special gift each day Plus they do have a personality. My favourite aspects in having chickens is I love looking at how they run towards you when you call them, (waddling) especially when you have food. They're just so cute.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Photography, family, animals. I also love art, gardening, beach and anything to do with photography.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have 4 children, two adult kids and two younger (10 and 11) the younger ones are home schooled. Our animals are... we have 2 toy poodles, 6 cockatiels, 2 Indian ringnecks and an Amazon blue fronted plus a ragdoll cat.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I goodled for help in incubating chicken eggs, google led me to this group! I have been here for answers but today I finally decided to join!
