Then we bought 4 young hens from local feed store. We've only had them 3 days and we've already had 4 eggs. The youngest which we think is a Rhode Island Red was being picked on a little yesterday by the other three hens who are a little larger than her. And today she's limping with one foot. And standing on her good leg mostly. The leg that seems hurt has a leg and on it. Guess we need to hold her and remove that and see if that helps.

It would be helpful if we could see a photo per Texas Kiki's post. It could be the leg band is too tight or there could be something else going on.

As for the other birds pecking at her, how big is your coop and run? Chickens don't like being crowded and need more room than you may think.

Best wishes, thanks for joining us!
