(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

We currently have 16. Lol (along with 4 ducks & 2 turkeys)

(3) What breeds do you have?

Buff Orpington x 6 and 10 Cochin

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Idk, fresh eggs. Free entertainment. Lol

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening. Becoming more self sufficient. Photography.
Planning to learn to can this year. I also piddle around with guitar & drums. I’m a gamer but as of late, I don’t have near the time to play games.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I’m a full time mom, homeschooling. Raising a family hopefully right.
We also have 3 dogs, and 9 cats and 2 rabbits. (Started the rabbit journey this year as well. Manure & maybe meat down the road.)

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

When doing searching on different chicken/fowl topics the site comes up; so have browsed it quite a few times. Finally joined. Lol

Welcome here Blessed. Yes they are great entertainment and BONUS eggs. We have some folks that can and preserve here as well. I've done it for prolly longer than you've been alive . Glad you joined you will learn lots here.
