Hey all were in the process of building a coop and getting chicks. We live on the westchester Putnam County NY border. Went to town hall and was basically told no as we don't even have an acre. However there are 4 other fAmilies in neighborhood with under an acre that have them. So I'm going to go with out of sight out of mind mentality. We asked our neighbors and they are fine with the idea as long as no roosters show up! Lol.

I am very excited you joined us! Chickens don't require too much space- all they need is a coop and a decent sized run to go outside. If you need any help deciding the breeds you want to get or where to get the chicks from don't hesitate to ask me or others for advice. You will soon become addicted to chickens and will be doing "chicken math" of your own.
