So I am a part of another forum and have been for a few years. EVERY TIME I see new posters come in I always read them to see if they are people I may know. (I am a skydiver and lots of new jumpers take advantage of that forum.) I moved out to the country two years ago and said the first thing I wanted was chickens! Well after a few weeks we got them, after two years, something else got them, and now a few months later I am trying to "rebuild" my "flock". I now have what I was told was a rooster (weird, don't they crow?). I will keep it whether it is or not but maybe he is just too young! So hello to you all out there! Chickens are awesome!

Yeah, he may be too young to crow.

It's like reading a good book! I just can't log off! I will figure out how to post some pictures and then try to identify my new hens. Thanks for the welcoming!

Welcome from the eastern panhandle of WV. Maybe we are neighbors...I live about 8 miles from the VA line. There is a huge swap once a year near Richmond and there is a show coming up in Doswell in November. You should try to attend. Chicken enthusiasts are great people to spend the day with :)
