Do you have any other questions about your new chicks? We would all be very happy to answer them
I have a few, if that’s alright!
> How soon should I provide grit to the chicks? My friend says that he personally introduces them to it when they’re eating more fibrous foods, but I want to hear some more opinions!
> When is it safe to interact with them more? Do they require time to acclimate to their new home beforehand like other animals?

Thank you so much! You’re all so kind, I feel so welcomed!

I start mine on chick grit the day they go into the brooder.

ETA: Always on the side...

I brood mine outdoors in the coop so that they meet the big flock from the safety of their brooder. I introduce a dirt box for bathing the second week. I put grit out from the start. I interact with them daily. I change water and food 2x a day and I check everyone over then for pasty butt and other problems.
