Hi there, Samantha here. We’re in Portsmouth Virginia.
I was sent here as a resource for info and supplies, etc by Carol at PeCK. Our local chicken keepers group. Below if anyone is interested:

As far as the questions go, well we don’t have any chickens yet, so we can’t really answer most of them. I try to learn as much as I can before diving in so this is reaching the endpoint of the initial learning process for me. Before actually putting anything into action.
As far as other things: I work full time, have 2 kids and a polyamorous family, enjoy rebuilding and restoring things, fabricating and repairing the house we just bought here. We got a brick cottage “on the water” (it’s more of a marsh) on about an acre here, which is what lead us to looking into backyard chickens more seriously.
So, that’s us and where we’re at.
