New here! U.P. of Michigan checking in!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow I'm setting eggs today as well, and again on Wednesday.

I know you're new, but if you want to meet a whole lot of really cool people real fast, consider posting a Hatch-along. Just check out a few of them so you see sort of how we do them. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/hatch-a-longs.16184/

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Oh I love the UP! My hubbys Grandfather had a cabin on Douglas Lake decades ago, we visited several times, then crossing the bridge to the UP, going to Mackinac Island, touring around all this area. Gorgeous territory up there! Stay warm!

Salve (Latin for hello) and :welcome! Western UP is very pretty, but I can't imagine raising all those poultry up there with the amount of predators. We were sitting in my grandma's yard one day and suddenly realized a large coy-wolf was watching us about seventy feet away. Good luck though with your upcoming hatch!

Hi everyone! I'm new here. Located in the western U.P. of Michigan. I have had chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese for about 2 years but still consider myself a newbie to the "hen house/duck coop" life. I'm always looking to learn more and try new things to better my flock. I am currently setting my bantam eggs and will hopefully have a successful hatch in a few weeks! Can't wait to learn more and grow my flock!
Welcome. I grew up in Plymouth MI. I spent many weeks per year camping with my family in the UP and the porcupine mountains, while growing up - absolutely breath-taking and relaxing. Some of our activities included going to the local dumps to watch the bears come and eat.
