I am new to raising chicks and loving it! I have 8 total and they are all doing great. I have a Barred Rock that isn't growing. She looks the same as when she was a few days old except she is feathering out some on her wings. She eats, drinks and acts normal. Any ideas on what's going on? Thanks!

I have seen multiple posts about chicks not growing... I wonder why?! Anyway, if you go to the Raising Chicks section there should be a few topics (threads) there about it...

Welcome to BYC! I had a chick this year that took a long time to get bigger and to feather out, she is now all of the sudden the same size as the other chicks! I think if she is acting okay and eating fine she will grow on her own time line!

I'd say she'll catch up. One of my Golden Comets was real small too, but he's doing well, feathering well, and growing daily. He has nearly caught up with the others I bought at the same time, and the same size as the Barred Rocks I bought just a couple days later.
