New here with lots of questions

Welcome, I have all different sizes and ages as well as 2 roosters in my flock and I have no problems. I have barred rocks, white rocks, orphintons, bantee, leg horns and a few others thrown in, they exist well together. Good luck.

I'm glad to hear that your motley flock includes two roosters. We just realized that our youngest peep (now 5 1/2 months old) is a cockerel. He's so sweet that we'd like to keep him, but there is already a senior rooster (his daddy). They're all free range, so maybe that makes it easier for the roosters to peacefully co-exist.

I hope if I get roos they're all nice to each other! I'm planning on getting some silkies, which are straight run at my local feed store, so if they all turn out to be roos... Well, I've heard that a lot of silkie roos are nice, so hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.

Our senior rooster is a Buff Orpington who is now about 4 years old. He is a sweetheart and a gentleman. He's nice around our grandkids when the come to visit, and he looks out for his girls. Once recently I saw him give a little peck to the young cockerel, but that's the only time.

Okay, good to know! I hope we have nice roosters. If not, we'll have to give one up to a rescue (I wouldn't have the heart to eat it). ;)

My senior rooster is about a year old and is a huge orphinton his name is Russell crow lol. Our other
rooster is a banton "Cody". Out of the two Russell is the bully as far as humans go but is good to his girls when it comes sharing his good food finds.. Cody Is the rock star though, he clucks when the hens are laying an egg, like he is encouraging them and really goes crazy when they finally lay the egg. Although Russell has all of the hens Cody doesn't make a fuss about it, it seems like he is content being a cheerleader. I love Russell but he has attacked my husband a couple times and has come after me as well and I am the one who feeds him and spoils him (it's great exercise trying to outrun Russell, man he's quick) lol. We were told early on that Russell would kill Cody but they have existed well together for 6 months or more, I am honestly not concerned that it will ever happen. There is always an exception to the rule. Thanks
