Hi all...I am located in central Oklahoma. Haven't had chickens in a very long time. Started with a mix of feed store babies this spring. Oldest crew is free range now...have a group in a chicken tractor a group in a grow out pen and 26 in the brooder. Have Black Jersey Giants, production reds, Red Sex links Black Australorp Barred Rock Easter Eggers and the brooder babies are males from Cinnamon Queen hatch. That will eventually go out in electeonet.

Good luck with your lovely flock! Those are some great breeds you have there. I've always wanted Black Australorps and Barred Rocks. They have such great personalities and lay so many eggs.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have some excellent layers. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large brown eggs. Cinnamon Queen is one of a number of labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links, and like all Red Sex Links they are laying machines.
