Hi everyone, I live in southeast Georgia. I grew up with a mini farm as a child and we had pigeons, dove, ducks, geese, goats, and a few chickens. Now that I am a grown up and have my own family, we also have a mini farm. It started with one hen and has exploded from there. Now we own 2 hogs (one being a pot belly pig) about 35 chickens of diferrent breeds including RIR, Buff Orpington, Ameraucauna*, Barred Rocks, Silver Phoenix, and an unknown breed (they were light gray, now they have gotten lighter and have white wash over the gray, and have feathers on their legs), also have 8 rabbits and about 20 quail, and 2 ducks also. Tuesday we will be adding 2 horses and possibly by Thursday we will be adding some baby chicks and quail. I absolutely am loving this farm life! Oh.. we also have 3 dogs (one is a rescue, and he is so sweet), 2 cats; one being momma cat to the older cat and now she is momma again to 4 more babies. She will be getting fixed ASAP.. she snuck out the house and got in trouble again before we could handle that...lol... a hamster, a fish tank, and a baby turtle (that unfortunately hasn't been eating so it may not be here too much longer). Well it is time for bed. TTYL I also forgot to add in that I have some barred rock chicks and either red ranger or freedom ranger chicks (not sure).. My boyfriend got them for me one day while I was sleeping from being at work all night!
