I bought my first chicks & pullets last March

9 hens and 5 call ducks

2 Easter Eggers, 2 Buff Orpingtons and 5 Isa Browns

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I spin/knit/weave/dye textiles, novice gardener and pickle maker. I also breed and show angora rabbits.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Hubby is retired USN, all our kids are grown and we have two amazing grandsons. Besides chickens, ducks and rabbits we have honeybees, green cheek conures, sugar gliders, a guinea pig and one extremely spoiled pitbull.

Oh goodness! I think I always forget him because we aren't "cat people" and we always say "we don't have a cat, we have a Merp." Merp is the sound he makes as he is attempting to knock you down or grabbing your head from the top of the fridge.
