We are BRAND NEW!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?
I believe Ameraucana and a Saphire blue

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their personalities so far! My kids love watching them. We are excited for fresh eggs.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Just being with my family!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 kids (8 & 10). I'm a stay at home mom so ill get lots of time home with the chickens!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community
I came across BYC doing research before getting our chicks!
 
Brand new, huh? So, there's lots of exciting "firsts" to look forward to! Being able to spend time with your chicks is great, and your kids are old enough to help without their care.

Four is a good number to start with -- enough to see individual personalities but not too many to keep track of.
