Hello, I’m new here! My name is Christina.

(1) I am new to chickens! It was my husbands idea to get them and now I’ve fallen in love with them too.

(2) We have 11 chickens right now.
5 that are 2 months old
6 that are about 2 weeks old. 3 of the chicks will go to a friend when they are big enough to go into their coop.

(3) We have blue Plymouth rocks, bielfelders, golden sex links, and leghorns.

(4) I love watching them and so do my toddlers! We don’t have eggs yet, but it’ll be awesome when we do.

(5)
I love to cook and we garden.

(6) We have 2 toddlers, a golden lab, and we live near the beach. I’ll be homeschooling my kiddos when kindergarten starts!

Some pictures of our flock:

We wound up with one rooster... technically we aren’t allowed to have a rooster where we live. Our neighbors are aware and they are cool with it, but he will start to get louder and we will probably have to get rid of him. I’m having a hard time with it!

Judging by the pea comb, muffs, and black skin, your seller may have gotten them confused. They look like either easter eggers or ameruacanas, which lay blue/green eggs. :)
A couple other people said they looked like Easter eggers as well. I’m new to the world of chickens lol. I guess we’ll find out! Blue & green eggs would be super cool!
I’ll share some more closer up pictures and a picture of them as chicks.
