Beautifully said. You have joined a group that loves chickens also. We are here for support and to answer questions for each other. I am so sorry about Ruby.Thank you for saying that!Part of the reason I took it so hard losing Ruby is that I was just so angry somebody could do that to them. They were only maybe 5-6 weeks when we found them, but they were both so incredibly sweet. I couldn't believe someone would just dump them, but we think that's what must've happened since it was pretty obvious they had no idea where home was.
Anyway, I just kept thinking what if we had gotten to them sooner, would we have been able to save her then? I get emotional thinking about it, but at least we have Hazel, and I'm certain she wouldn't have made it without us. It's almost like she saved me back because I didn't realize how much I could possibly love a chicken, and now I can't imagine my life without her in it.![]()
