(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chickens about one year ago, and I’m learning more every day!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Five: Two hens, three pullets (still isolated, will integrate soon)
(3) What breeds do you have?
Speckled sussex and easter eggers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
How silly they are! And how opinionated. I love their personalities and the excuse to be outside in the morning sun.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, horror movies, video games, and pottery.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My spouse and I both work for nonprofits. We have two indoor cats and our chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was recommended to you by my chicken keeping class over a year ago, and finally had pressing enough questions to become a participating member. I’ll post those tomorrow, and hope y’all can help!
