Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to introduce mysef! I'm Midwestdiva, I'm from NE Wisconsin. We recently acquired 2 brown sex links and a back sex link pullets, they are now a little over two weeks old and are doing great! I manage a purina mills feed store, so I know enough to get by (I think!). We sell a few thousand of chicks a year through a few different hatcheries.
We live in the city, with a spacious backyard, lined with a ravine which goes down to a park. We have a lot of wildlife that comes through the backyard, so my DH is in the process of building a 4'x4' coop that is raised 2' off the ground with a fenced run. It is nearing the finishing touches and will be painted this week. I'll post pictures when it's done!
We also have a 1 year old son, a 4 1/2 year old Black Labrador, and a 4 year old indoor cat. I also have a 5 year old Paint horse that I show on the breed circuit.
Currently I'm feeding my girls, Purina Sufresh Start & Grow (non-med), and will be transfering them to Layena when they are ready.
I'm definitely excited to learn more about chickens!
