Looking for advice on introducing several week old chicks into my flock of 11,one currently broody. Chicks are in coop seperated with chicken wire and all birds can see each other everyday , what is the best way to go about letting the youngsters in w the flock??

If you have an enclosed run - divide that with wire partitions to carry out the ' look but, don't touch' approach. In time they will ignore each other thru the 'bars'. Then you can try having them together under your supervision.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! How old are your chicks? I would not introduce them to your flock untill they are fully grown and can defend themselves. Smaller chicks will be a target and easy pickings for older bigger birds. Once fully grown the look but don't touch method is great as drumstick said. Here is an article about it ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/introducing-new-chickens-using-the-see-but-don-t-touch-method

Good luck in getting all your flock intergrated and enjoy BYC :frow
