New hew and to chickens!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Most folks I know use Permethrin powder. That diatomaceous earth is pretty useless once there's an outbreak, as it would take weeks to kill them. I use it as a prevention, but would get Permethrin powder if they ever had a breakout. I've heard people take an old sock, fill it with that powder, and pat their chickens down with it, especially their butt and under their wings. Repeat in 7-10 days.

We're glad you're here!

Hi all. I’m new to the great chicken family and love it. Started in February with 3 and now at 5. Slowly adding room for more and got husband onboard. Now the bad! We have mites. Just treated but have eggs on feathers and don’t know what to do from here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
