New Hoop Coop

I lost this the first time, so here I go again...

Tonight was move-in for our 18 month old chicks. We still have some tweaks, but the coop is functional. It is 4x10.

Does anyone have problems with FIREANTS getting into their hoop coops?? We don't have the feed hung up yet, and I took it out for overnight, but fireants worry me. I've seen them eat things alive and it ain't pretty! We put thin treated plywood against the hardware cloth bottom of the coop portion and then cedar shavings on top of that to keep the ground as dry as possible.

Here is a search result for fire ants...you might have a look through some of the old threads to see if you can find some pointers until someone answers your thread...I don't know how to prevent fire ants.
