Hello all, I have only had chickens, and a goose, for 3 months now. I was given a small flock of five hens, a rooster and a Sebastapol goose by a neighbor when they moved.

Having no previous experience with chickens or geese I have found this site invaluable. I started reading here before we took the chickens so we could take care of them properly

It's been interesting learning about them and watching them, their different personalities and
behaviors, some contrary to everything I thought I knew about chickens. But I have to admit I'm partial to the goose.

In addition to the above we have three more hens we hatched from one of the above hens just before we took them and 2 more geese, a mother and child, to keep the Sebbie company, I felt so bad for him being all alone.

Which brings mo to a question I have, so I'm off to the goose forum.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. In addition to posting on our Goose section, if you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your question answered in our Goose section.
