(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
6 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 California White, 1 Amberlink, 1 Mystic Onyx, 3 English Orpingtons (I didn't know these were "expensive chickens" when purchasing, so compared to the $5 other chicks, I was too surprised and embarrassed to back out of the sale when they rang up my total haha)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Hopefully will help with ticks and the eggs will be nice! I also am hoping they can help me with my bees
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fixing doomed cars and selling them, beekeeper
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 2 kids, ages 7 and 8, a scrappy mix dog, I am an auto mechanic, my husband is a chemist
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
We have been silent viewers of this forum for almost 4 years while we made the decision whether or no chickens were right for us!
