Just now started raising chickens. So far we love them. Any advice from more learned chicken folks.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. My wife and I lived in McAlester, OK, for awhile, and still have some fond memories of our time there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?

So glad you could join our community! Definitely stop by our learning center for all kinds of great info on keeping your birds. Mountain Peeps has left you with the link.

Enjoy this new adventure and welcome to our flock!

Hello! I am new to joining as well but have been using this site for information and entertainment for months now. I have had great success with the seach engine to locate answers to my questions. So much information on this site!

We have two Buffs, two Cinnamon Queens, two barred rocks and one black chicken. I'm from McAlester (Indianola - Scipo) area.

Any advice as we just added the Queens and the others are mean to our new ones.

Adding chickens always takes time. How did you introduce them? Hopefully you took it slow. After a week or so, there should be less fights. Make sure to provide extra feeders and waterers and hideaways.
