Hi all,
I'm a newbie homesteader in southern Pennsylvania. We moved here from an apartment in Baltimore last spring--me, my husband, and our little girl. We had a garden a week after we moved to our little farm--I didn't want to wait any more! Chickens came over the summer. We just have eight pullets right now, various breeds, but will probably expand a little this coming year. I'm excited to talk shop with other chicken people.
Here is my daughter, four years old, holding Ladybird. Ladybird is an amberlink (I think)--a superb layer, sweet and friendly, and the undisputed queen of the flock.
