Hey everyone! New member here from South Chicagoland. Anyone else in that area? We have 9 one week chicks, and I believe my sister in law is going to be donating us her 4. Mostly Rhode Island Red's I think a few Iza Buff's (spelling?). Been researching quite a bit and glad to be on the site. Can't wait to learn more!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! You might like to pop your state thread, they can be found here ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you or by using the search box above.
Are you meaning ISA Browns? If so they are great egg layers you have there. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

I think there is some kind of Chicago poultry site. They even have coop tours around the area. You may want to try googling it. Also post on your state thread. Just put "Ilinois " in the search box and it will pop up. I lived in Chicago for the first 22 years of my life - I never knew Chickens were permitted. Maybe they weren't way back then.
