Hello!

We (my husband, two small children, and myself) are in the early stages of planning for chickens. I've been reading the website for a while and have found it very helpful.

I'm very eager to get any and all advice on starting out - particularly from those in the southeastern US about good breeds for heat tolerance and predator issues/solutions you've found.

I grew up in agriculture, but we never raised chickens, so this is completely foreign to me. Fortunately, we live on an old farm with more than enough room for some animals. We just need to learn how to raIse them properly!

Thanks for any advice!
