New in the Game.

New to the chicken raising game. 13 - 2 month old chicks. 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Americanas, 1 Brown leghorn, 4 White Leghorns (crossed between grey and white), and 4 Rhode Island Reds.
I just decided one day to build a coop and start raising chickens. I have enjoyed every moment thus far and continue to look forward to watching them grown in beautiful hens.
A little about myself, Married with two wonderful chiildren. Two boys, oldest at 9 and my baby at 10months. They love the interaction with the chicks. My wife thinks I am obessed with chickens with all the reading, self educating I have been doing these past 6 months in preparation of my chicks. I suppose I am. looking forward to learning more about the raising of chickens and stories/pictures of others on this site. Here's to happy raising!.
