New in west Texas

Hi y'all! I'm new and joining from El Paso Texas. I always wanted chickens and have been trolling this site for over a year now. Well...I finally took the plunge and brought home 5 "hens" (one might be a rooster.) I got two rir that are a year old, although they might actually be production reds. I also got two barred rock hens that are 4 months old. The seller threw in their hatchmate, who is supposed to be half rir half Plymouth rock. She, however, is white. She might also be a he. Either way, I'm excited to embark on this adventure!!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a beautiful flock. I don't see anything in your White Rock that is screaming rooster. My wife and I were both raised in the great state of Texas and we have visited El Paso on a number of occasions. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
