Hi i have never incubated before and i just piurchased one. Is there anything i should do to the incubator before i put eggs in it? clean it first? plug it in and make sure the temp stays accurate? etc

You definitely want to plug it in and get the temperature set before you even think about putting eggs into it. I always run a brand new incubator for 3 days before I put anything into it at all. I can not risk losing expensive eggs to a incubator malfunction. Get your temp and humidity stabilized, then add the eggs. When you add the eggs your temp and humidity will be way out of wack for about 24 hours, DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING, it will fix itself.
Are these shipped or home eggs?
