I finally got an incubator.
I had bought a chikbator two weeks ago and I have to agree with everyone's review of them here. It will not hold a solid temp and won't stay humid enough for eggs to hatch. I couldn't get it to regulate at all.
I went out today and bought a little giant 9200 with an egg turner and I will be adding a fan to it to make it forced air instead of still air. I plugged it in and followed the directions and was amazed that it took less than 2 hours to set the temp and humidity and it stays steady at 100.4 never wavering or varying a tenth of a degree. It's awesome. Unfortunately I don't think the quail eggs I had in the chikbator will hatch now. They seem to have stopped developing. But I am going to try again on the 30th with chicken eggs this time.
Can't wait.
