There's a few NJ threads, but this is the first time I've seen this one.

I'm in Warren County (Knowlton). I grew up in, and still work in Bergen County.

I just got my first chickens this past weekend at the Sussex County Chicken Show.

So far, so good. Last night was cold, though.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd say

"hi" from Burlington County. Shamong is right next to both Camden county and Atlantic County. We have ducks, guineas and now chickens. I'm actually surprised at just how many people in our town have ducks, guineas, chickens and geese. Found BYC when doing some research and have been on everyday since.

northern NJ, warren county.

2 austras, 3 white rocks, 3 NH reds, 3 GL wyandottes, 3 barred rocks. JUST took on last week from a neighboring farm 8 three month old easter eggers and two buffs AND one special EE crossbeak named Smirkie. Everyone free ranges from morning until dark on 3 acres (except the crossbeak who can't). Raising 15 babies - 3 weeks old now; basically the same breeds as above but with two salmon faverolles and 8 freedom ranger meat birds.

Hi everybody!!!. Im in Sewell,nj (gloucester county).This site is really addicting. I just started to learn about chickens.at the beginning i only wanted 5 or 6 chicks and in less than a month i got 36 chicks in my basement.......lol they are a month old today.Geez, im so hook into chicken is not even funny.I got 3 barred rock feathered leg,3 rhode island reds,4 new hampshire reds,4 easter eggers,2 old english,6 blue cochins,4 white crested black polish,2 silver laced polish,2 japanese bantams,1 white silkie,1 red silkie,5 light brahma.beside the chicks 1 miligold macaw(cross from blue and gold and military macaw)1 myers parrot,1 beta,7 italian mastiff(cane corso)we breed them also,1 english bull dog,1 sheltie(minnie lassie),1 pekin duck,1 sweeden blue duck,3 muscovy and soon a miniature horse....night night people!!!
