We are totally new to chickens and introduced 4 pullets to our coop yesterday. 2 Plymouth Rock, a Wyandotte, and Americauna (we think)

They learned now to use the nipple waterer and to ignore our dog who refuses to ignore them.

Putting them to bed was a chore. Still not sure how and when to clean the coop

Hi and welcome to BYC and congrats on your new hobby. How and how frequently the coop needs cleaning is dependent upon the kind of floor in the coop and your sense of smell :). Try using the BYC search engine and use the links below to see what they turn up, maybe.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
When to clean the coop depends on it's design, your bedding choices and level of daily upkeep. I expect to do a full blown clean out annually. I remove poop off the boards daily.
