new layer stopped laying - is this normal?

i have an easter egger about 7 months old and she started laying a few weeks or so ago. for the first 2 weeks she was laying about every 2 or 3 days and now she has stopped laying. i think this will be the 8th or 9th say she has not layed. is this normal for a layer who has just started? i miss my pretty blue eggs!

Mine stop for a little while sometimes and then start back up again. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

What kind of feed are you giving?

Also, be sure to check for mites.

honestly, it could be any number of things but what i am slowly learning is that often times it is just chicken craziness. in other words she is probably fine and will start again soon. chickens kind of do as they please and there is no real "norm" IMO.

appreciate the input. guess i'll wait and see. and, no there are no mites and she is healthy and other birds with her are laying well.
