New layer stopped laying

After a six week break, she finally laid again today!

Mine just laid an egg after at least 8 weeks of nothing. Before that, she laid normally and then I got four double yolkers from her and then she stopped. Upped the protein and waited... Think it was a hormonal thing, Wasn't moulting or anything.

Just weird to me that she started the first week of August and then stopped that week. She was 20 weeks at the time. Now she’s 25 weeks. Oh well, I’ll just keep waitin’

I have a Barred Rock and the same, even the timeline. I gave 2 actually, 1 has latex consistent, 1 egg a day for 10 then skips a day. The other latex about 4-5 days after the 1st, 2 days in row, she was swatting and making her song and quit all of it. Layer the 10th/11th. They are the same age (28wks now)… I would love to understand. She eats, drinks, seems to be in perfect health. No mites. Etc
