I have a chicken who laid her first egg on thursday and nothing since. Is this normal?

Yes! As long as she is behaving normally, it is very common for a new layer to have a few days in between eggs. Congrats on the new egg!

Any chance she's laying in range area instead of nest?
Were did she lay her first egg?

Been there! Like previous replies, it depends but can be normal. Definitely answer others questions, it will help.

I do free range and have looked everywhere. She played it on the roost! I found another one this morning on the roost and they had stepped on it and smashed it...

You might want to try some fake eggs or golf balls in your nest where you want her to lay.

I was wondering the same thing. We got our first egg yesterday! I'm guessing it'd be at least a day or two in between eggs in the beginning.
