New Little Easter Eggers Adorable!!

One of the best things about EEs is watching what colors/patterns they develop! In hindsight, I can look at my adolescent EEs and spot most of their colors in the down from their baby pictures but there is such a broad spectrum that can come from chicks that look quite a bit alike that there's just no telling. The one thing you can tell, though, is that you have a whole lot of cheek puff on some of those cuties!

Thanks! No bunny food! Haa..It is the Pine pellets (for horse stalls I guess) ..I really like it and had great luck with it with the last set of chicks..less mess less dust and less smell..
And they don't eat it! Price wise it may be just a dollar or so more a bag at TSC

You do know that the pine pellets are supposed to be sprayed with water right? Lol I want these so bad , but there not carrying them here. You cut open the bag, add water and they pop and open and make saw dust. It's clean and makes a lot of saw dust! I read where keeping them in pellet form can hurt the horses hooves ( not sure about that ), and it looks like it would pretty hard on the chicks feet.

karlamaria--I hadn't heard that regarding the pellets. The point of them was to not make all the dust and if they are not wet they are very absorbant..I guess I could look into it some more, I used them like this on my last bunch and it's all I use in the coop, and it does eventually break down into sawdust, but it takes a while and it keeps down the smell, dust and flies..

I will check it out some more tho..Thanks.
