New Little Giant incubator 9300, plastic burning smell

I just bought this incubator as a backup and it's been running for around 7 hours now. It's emitting a very strong plastic/burning chemical smell. At first I thought it was off gassing but it doesn't seem to go away.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m not familiar with this brand of incubator but if it’s been running that long and still smells like burning plastic, I’d think something might not be quite right!

if the smell persists put the eggs in a different incubator and dispose of the current incubator
