Past few days having been nice and warm inspired me to evict chickens from my almost finished pigeon loft and install perches and build nesting compartments. These have two nest boxes and can be closed with a door for mating up breeding pairs. Loft also has a ceiling light and wall outlets for water warmers. No more dealing with frozen water every winter mornin'! I have three different colors of baldhead Birmingham Rollers and recently aquired two pair of splash colored Indian Fantails. After they are settled in they all should get on with some serious egg laying.
