Turkens are not really half and half ... they just look like it. They're chickens.

They cluck, they are just a breed of chicken that happen's to have less feathering on the neck and body. It's a gene that causes that.

They are chicken's alright, and they lay nice sized egg's too. I love mine!

Next time you see her, ask her if brown cows give chocolate milk . Some feed store employees could use a good crash course in animal husbandry ... or at least identification!

Feed stores usually hire anyone who shows up, one TSC I bought chicks at the young fellow who was grabbing the bantams I bought was afraid to touch them because they were "icky"... he really should have gotten a job at starbucks over on the artsy side of town.

You're right! I was working in the dairy barn at our County Fair, this summer (DD shows Guernseys ... the biggest golden retrievers in the world!) when a Mom confessed to telling her son that, as a joke. He came home from an elementary school field trip absolutely livid! Apparently, he'd made the chocolate milk comment about some cows they were passing ... and immediately caught a raft of ridicule from the rest of the class. His first comment when he stormed in the door that afternoon was a righteously indignant, "You LIED to me!" She was still embarrassed about it, ten years later!
