I have three chickens that are about 12~14 weeks old. I've had them in an indoor coop, and thus morning introduced them to their outdoor coop that we added on. They are normally very active and energetic, and as soon as I put them outside, one of them ran around for a few minutes, then hunkered down in the dirt and began rolling around and burrowing herself in a hole and doesn't show much interest in moving out of it at the moment.she doesn't seem to be having health issues. Is this normal?? Thank you!

she's taking a bath!!.. Chickens roll in dirt to clean their feathers and enjoy laying in their "spot".. she's probably the happiest chick in the world right now :)

Thank you! This our first time raising chickens, so its all New to us lol! :-) we had a chick die a few weeks ago, so I've been paranoid and overprotective ever since.

here is a picture of one of my chicks finding a spot.. she chose right under the raised coop!! I used a metal rake to scrap out a spot i thought was better and they're using it now but I don't have any pictures of it..
