Hi, all! I'm new to this page, so figured I'd follow the template.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am fairly new! I got my first 7 pullets on August 1st, and my first roo about two weeks ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

8 lovely little chooks

(3) What breeds do you have?

3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Black Sex Links, and 1 Lavender Orpington roo

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I am obsessed with them!! They're the cutest and I did  not expect myself to fall in love with them so quickly!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I coach gymnastics! I spend about 5 days a a week at the gym.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

My husband and I have a real estate business, we are in our 30's. Our daughter is a gymnast as well, and we are a tight knit little family. We live on several wooded acres, and just enjoy having the fluffy butts roaming around! We also have a Shih Tzu, a lab, and a hamster .

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I've been stalking BYC for awhile, and I really enjoy all of the advice! I figured it was time to join in.
