Hello, I don't have a full flock yet. Was given 2 and looking for information so I can build a new coop and get a full flock.

Hello and Welcome to BYC. Glad you joined this poultry loving community. Over build you coop bigger and stronger than you think you need because you probably will need one mad that way. Find out what predators are in your area and plan them out of your chickens life now for their safety and your happiness. The same goes for the run.

Research what a properly designed coop should have, determine what size flock you want, double that number then go from there.

Welcome. I agree with @DobieLover, however, I would say triple the space for the coop and run. Don't buy a pre-manufactured coop. Either make one yourself or convert a shed. Also, use 1/2 inch hardware cloth everywhere there is any potential for a predator to get in.
