Hi all! I'm new here. We bought 18 hens and 2 roosters off of a neighbor who was moving. We have a beautiful Amish build coop and a variety of chickens including white Brahma's, Plymoth Blue, Wyandottes, silkies, 1 Road Island Red and 1 Ayam Cemani. The roosters are 1 Brahma and 1 black Silkie. For the most part everyone gets along, although the silkies get picked on a little, I've learned they are at a slight disadvantage bc of the fluff. They can't see as well. We named the Ayam Cemani Ursula because we've read she is a witches chicken. 😂 We have had some issues with our Brahma Rooster picking on our daughter, we are trying to teach her to be more dominant with him.
