Well for anyone who clicks on this, My name is Tanner and I look foreword to chatting with everyone and learning as much as I can! I hail from Northern Alberta Canada, and after a few years away from raising birds, I’m getting back into it and have started this year. I currently have 1 Ameraucana rooster (jebidiah), 2 chocolate Orpington hens, 2 Rhode Island Red hens, 2 copper maran hens, 2 creme legbar hens and finally my favourite 2, my bielefelder girls. My plan is to next year start an Easter/olive project, and to start getting into some fancier/harder to find breeds. Thanks for reading this and look foreword to meeting you all šŸ™ŒšŸ»šŸ»

Hello, Tanner, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
What makes the Bielefelders your favorites?
They are just the calmest, gentlest of hens I think I’ve ever owned! That and they are beautiful, they are 4.5 now and they will be part of my purebred project next year. Just finding some is a little hard in my area because they aren’t a super established breed yet up here.
